A NIGHT OF ART, EDUCATION AND ALL THAT IS LEFT UNSAID
Just days before Christmas, at only 32, I was diagnosed with breast cancer while on maternity leave with my one year old son. No family history, No warning signs, life just changed overnight. 2024 should’ve been a return to my advertising career but instead I landed in fertility decisions, surgery and endless rounds of treatment.
TOGETHER, WE CAN CHANGE THE EXPERIENCE OF CANCER.
Of every thousand Australian women, eight will be diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 40, and one in two people will face cancer in their lifetimes. Yet many young patients enter treatment underprepared and overwhelmed, without the life experience or health literacy that older age often brings.
MAY WE BE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THE WORLD WITH CURIosity and kindness, who learn about the plight of others and lean in.
