RHIANNON’S CURATORIAL STATEMENT

WHEN RHIANNON ABShoff WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER AT THIRTY-TWO AND A MOTHER OF ONE, SHE ENTERED A WORLD FEW OF HER PEERS COULD IMAGINE; A WORLD OF CHEMOTHERAPY, SURGERIES, INJECTIONS, RADIATION AND WAITING ROOMS THAT FELT FAR REMOVED FROM THE RHYTHMS OF YOUNG ADULTHOOD. WHAT BEGAN AS A PERSONAL ACT OF SURVIVAL HAS BECOME AN INVITATION TO SEE, LISTEN, LEARN & UNDERSTAND CANCER FROM ANOTHER LENS.

proceeds from $10 entry donations and a silent auction featuring an art print by photographer Minna Manu will benefit the Kinghorn Cancer Centre.
